Welcome, and thank you for stepping into The World Beneath Memory.
This site is the official home for my dark fantasy novel, The World Beneath Memory, releasing July 19, 2026. As the release date approaches, I’ll be using this space to share updates, character reveals, lore notes, behind-the-scenes reflections, and conversations about the world, story, and ideas behind the book.
At the heart of The World Beneath Memory is Tarian, a character haunted by questions he cannot answer and powers he cannot explain. His journey leads into a world shaped by buried history, broken loyalties, ancient dangers, and secrets that were hidden for a reason. Alongside characters like Kaelin, Lyra, Mara, and Corin, Tarian is pulled toward a truth that may change everything he believes about himself.
But this site is about more than one book. My hope is to build a place where readers can explore the world before and after release — a home for theories, discussions, updates, and the kind of shared excitement that makes fantasy stories feel alive beyond the page.
A little about me: my name is Aaron Davenport, and I’m the author of The World Beneath Memory. I’ve always been drawn to stories where mystery and emotion sit at the center of epic events — stories about identity, loyalty, inheritance, sacrifice, and the cost of discovering who you were always meant to become. This book grew from those ideas, and from my love of fantasy worlds where the past is never truly gone.
This is my first ever novel, but I do hope and plan for this to be a series. I am taking real world ‘heros’ from my life and putting them as characters in a fantasy setting. The names are somewhat changed but I feel those who are incorporated know who they are…
Over time, this blog will include:
- Character spotlights
- Worldbuilding and lore notes
- Book release updates
- Behind-the-scenes writing reflections
- Reader discussion prompts
- News about future stories in this world
I’m excited to share more as the journey continues.
Thank you for being here at the beginning.
The past is not dead.
It is waiting.
— Aaron Davenport
